When ben came home from his first day of school, I asked him how it was. He said "there's lot's of recess! so funny. The teacher said he did wel and they have started there writing skills. Ben already has known how to do all this for some time now. I hope he doesn't get bored!

It's 10:16 pm and my 6 year old is in bed reading scriptures! with a head lamp on LOL what a sweet boy he is. Corey went in and asked him "what are you reading about?", he said "Nephi, I just read chapter 2" he makes me giggle. I love that he is learning to recognize the spirit and the importance of the scriptures. I need to foster it more with him NOW while he is most impressionable. Ben got these little candy scriptures at church last week I thought it was the cutest thing ever!

This is a photo from bens christmas concert. That gym was packed and I coulnd't even get any more pics of him from how they were set up on stage so I'm glad I got this one before they started!Luckily too the kindergarteners went first, then we left there were WAAAAAY to many people there.All the chairs filled and people squished standing shoulder to shoulder.

It snowed so much this week. Ben has never seen snow like this before. I guess there has not been this much snow in boise for about 6 years. We got some good amounts of snow living in SLC but ben was a baby and wouldn't remember that. I even went out and played in the snow with the boys the first morning of the huge snow fall. I didn't last long but I sat out there and watched them for a long time. It was so fun. Yesterday school was cancelled from the snow and ben played outside for about 5 hours total. a few in the morning and a few in the afternoon. What a cutie he is. It makes me so happy to see him out there. Even dallin enjoyed it yesterday in his new snow pants.

Ben brought home his school pictures today. I wanted to go with him to make him giggle during his picture. He has this sorta fake grin on his face, it's still cute but not as cute as he really is. It seems like all kids go through this fake grin phase and I think it's usuall kindergarten haha. LOVE U BENNIE!

Ben turned 6. He is growing up so fast, He loves to draw and write and make up stories. He love to read and sing, listen to music including classical music his fav color is green and he loves thomas the train, dinosaurs, cars building lincoln logs and making things, sculpting, painting etc. he's growin up so fast and his kindergarten teacher said she just loves him. It makes me happy to know that someone else can enjoy my child as much as I do!

Ben was so exited to go to school, as we walked closer to the school he got really quiet. He had just drank a huge chocolate milk and he was quiet and wimpering a bit, this is how he acts right before he throws up so I asked him how he felt. He wouldn't talk and just acted really unsure I hoped he was just being a bit nervouse and not ready to throw up! after a minute he said in the most sad voice ever, "I just want o be at home" broke my heart! Everything was so new for him. The only time he has ever been away from me and on a regular basis is at church. I reassured him he would have fun. He had a few tears and when the teacher started to read the book that got his attention and we left. I felt sad for him beng in a new environment but I knew he would do great. When we went to pick him up he was happy as could be and I asked the teacher how he did. She said he did really good. She said he'd draw a picture and stare at it and she asked him if he was done and he said " I don't know how to spell some words" she asked him what he wanted it to say. then he told her a big long huge story haha. sounds like my cute Ben! He is exited to go back for tomorrow. I'm so glad he did so well. Especially for a kid that has never been to pre-school or day care and has been home with his mamma for 6 years of his life! :) I just LOVE the picture ben drew at school of our family and how we all have smiles on our faces. I teased him that my hair was green ! but I love this picture

Today is Bens VERY FIRST day of school ever! What a cutie he is. He is so exited, he woke up at excactly 8am and has been exited all day. He has noon kindergarten so he has to wait a bit longer. He is getting so big and actually turns 6 on weds. I am ordering his cake today when I go to the grocery store.

Ben loves to play cowboy, and train conductor, he has hats and clothes and all the works to play these characters. Lately he is "chef ben" and he created his own cooking show! It's so cute he says "and now for cooking with chef BENNNN!" he is hilarious and I will be video taping him soon and posting it. I told him I'd make him a menue for his restraunt we had to think of a name so he made up a random word "ONTER" who knows how his little brain came up with it but it works so I made a menue taking pics of all the meals we could create using his toy food he got from santa. Ben loves to sculpt whatever I do, I let him do some halloween stuff, this little peice of wood these are on is only a couple inches wide. here is his candycorn, shost that glows and snake that also glows and pumpkin with glowing eyes/mouth. Isn't it cute!!

Well Halloween was a big hit this year. Last year neither of my kids would even dress up, Dallin just cried when we put him in his little monkey costume he was so tired as well. Ben didn't want to dress up when it came down to it either. This year they were loving it. Ben a cowboy {he dresses like this everyday everywhere we go} and Dallin a fur trapper with moccasins. We went to the couple of neighbors across the street and then off to the church trunk or treat.

Ben was so cute this sunday helping dallin get dressed for church, also he is really into being a cowboy he has a rifle, gun, boots spurs hat scarf etc. He is dressed like this everywhere we go EVERYDAY haha. Little cutie, even has wranglers to go with it all. He raked leaves for us last night and I didn't even have to ask him WOOHOO lol

Bens Pirate party was a big hit. I loved how all his friends that came were dressed as pirates I was so happy! It was a lot of fun
I repainted Bens room that same weekend, I am not finished I still have to do a border but I LOVE it and it matches his americana stuff. I'm going to add little stars as well

Ben drew this photo on the way home from SLC this weekend. We were dying at how super cute it all was. He did the whale, octopus,crab,fish with bubbles,seahorse, shark, jelly fish and the totally unrecognizeable blue thing on the bottom above the shark is a dolphin. He even put the first letter of the name of each animal near it. This was one of the cutest yet! He is getting better everyday at drawing.

A friend in the ward had a dog who had puppies so we went to see them before they got sold. They were so cute and tiny. I wanted to keep one! Ben liked them too.

Corey was working in the garden this morning and kept hearing tiny meaows from behind the fence. Then he looked and there were little kittens. We are pretty sure we know who the mom is but he played with it for a few hours and brought it in to bennie before we stuck it back in it's home. Corey loved this kitty, he wanted to keep it but knows how allergic I am. {thank goodness} haha

Ben grew out of all the clothes we were putting him in for church so I took a trip to the mall. I found this whole suit for only $20.00 and he looks KILLER in it! What a doll. We also picked up a church shirt with tie and he picked the green one. I will post a pic when He wears it next.

Ben made a bracelet! I gave him some random colors of clay and he mixed it together into what i thought looked pretty scary of a color, then he used a cookie cutter and cut out the tiny shape and i put holes in it, we baked it and made a bracelet and he strung the beads. In the end it looked pretty good! He loves to play in the clay when I'm making stuff. Also loves to paint, like I did as a kid.

So tonight ben decided that Dallin needed a new diaper. And just started to change his diaper. I knew what was going on and went in to see if he'd gotten the diaper on right. The diaper was on backwards so I fixed it for him and left the room again. Then all of the sudden I smelled babypowder coming from the other room and knew what had happened. Especially sinceI heard giggling. Sure enough POWDER EVERYWHERE! Poor dallin. he was covered! I took off his shirt and had to laugh at the barely clinging diaper. I had to take a photo of what had just happened. Ben Did a pretty good job if he hadn't started to play with the powder!

Ben fell asleep in his clothes in the front room at bedtime and we took off his jeans and stuck him in bed. He must have lost his blanky in the middle of the night,or early morning and gotten cold, then climbed under his pillow to stay warm, we found him like this in the morning. Made us giggle.

Trying to take family pictures with a 4 year old named ben, is NOT an easy task!
The other day he came in the house and said " FEW! It's been a long day!"
There is a new restruant up the street called "BOOBIES" It has something called boobie burgers, ben thought that was so funny and kept repeating it "Boobie burger" and would laugh at himself, then he came in the house and said "Mommy I need to tell you something" then I said what? He replied "BOOBIE BURGER!" hahahaha could you die mommy?
When something is really funny I always say that, "Could you Die?" well if you dont htink your kids pay attention to what you say, THINK AGAIN! haha

Yesterday I told Ben to eat breakfast and that I was going to go do my hair. He said to me "are you going to make it all curly?" I said no I don't have time he said " I just want it all curly and pretty" LOL pretty funny. He is such a funny kid. In Sunday school he is always saying and doing funny things. I get told often of the silly things he says. I guess a few weeks ago he was not sitting up in sunday school during sharing time. So one of the teachers said to him " ben sit up please" he looked at her and said. "I can't sit up I'm a whale" the teacher had to leave the room she was laughing so hard. Today he was in the kitchen stomping around really loud. I asked him to stop and he said to me "Some dinosaurs stomp mom" Alrighty then! I can't argue that one now can I?

Tonight Bennie and Iwere making sugar cookies. He has eaten a few through out the day with out frosting. I don't like them that way. As we were sitting at the counter he holds the half eaten cookie in his hand, looks at it and says " I don't really like these cookies" then takes another bite and proceeds to finish the cookie. As I pick up another batch of dough he asked "so what are we going to do next?" I said. "I have to knead this dough to make it soft, it's so hard" he said. " I think you're right" what a clown!

wel sometime last year ben earned a fish for getting potty trained! well he never even paid attention to it so i gave it away..I kept wondering when he'd notice, or if he ever wold notice. he just now came to me and said "where's my fishy?" I asked "what fishy?" he said mine red one..I laughed it took him a few months to notice it was gone! Pretty funny! his fish by the way was named "pet" so silly. I think since we got the bunny he forgot about the fish.

This first picture is a picture of a train, ben can draw so well on this toy it's amazing. earlier this summer he was playing in the sandbox and took a bunch of twigs to made it look like he'd discovered dinosaur bones and the rock is the skull. He is so darn clever!

I have created this blog so I can post Bennies art and other things that he creates with out having it all pile up in my house! I will keep the actual art of my most favorites and this also eliminates the act of scrapbooking. I'm just not sure I have the time anymore for scrapbooking, especially when the digital world has made things so much easier in so many ways!
