about bens first day

Ben was so exited to go to school, as we walked closer to the school he got really quiet. He had just drank a huge chocolate milk and he was quiet and wimpering a bit, this is how he acts right before he throws up so I asked him how he felt. He wouldn't talk and just acted really unsure I hoped he was just being a bit nervouse and not ready to throw up! after a minute he said in the most sad voice ever, "I just want o be at home" broke my heart! Everything was so new for him. The only time he has ever been away from me and on a regular basis is at church. I reassured him he would have fun. He had a few tears and when the teacher started to read the book that got his attention and we left. I felt sad for him beng in a new environment but I knew he would do great. When we went to pick him up he was happy as could be and I asked the teacher how he did. She said he did really good. She said he'd draw a picture and stare at it and she asked him if he was done and he said " I don't know how to spell some words" she asked him what he wanted it to say. then he told her a big long huge story haha. sounds like my cute Ben! He is exited to go back for tomorrow. I'm so glad he did so well. Especially for a kid that has never been to pre-school or day care and has been home with his mamma for 6 years of his life! :) I just LOVE the picture ben drew at school of our family and how we all have smiles on our faces. I teased him that my hair was green ! but I love this picture
